From the paper "Creative Writers and DayDreaming" written by Freud, I have been attracted by the psychological activity DAYDREAM. I was wondering how we had moments that we wanted to leave our surroundings briefly. After the research, I found the reason under daydreaming is the link to the childhood game. From this point, I designed to make this book as a visualization of the daydreaming world to share.
On the basis of preserving part of the original scene, I tried to construct spaciousness with large patches of color, have character appear repeatedly on the same picture, and bring mushroom which causes change in consciousness, to show the illusion of irregular dreams
In addition, I made color on part of the photo to create a sense of strewn between solid and plane. Only the edge of the characters is colored, which looked like the color flows from the people's body.
To blur the boundary of daydreams and reality, I designed the specific position for illusional elements and human. They are in different layers, but engaging together through the cut-out "windows", which could be found out by the readers when they are moving the pages forward.
Moreover, it was experimented by combining with new materials: shining fabrics and transparent PVC boards, which brings the vibes on this zine into the next level.
